Yeah.. you will still be able to play as your female Shepard in Mass Effect 2.
Shepard never died in the first game.
There was a promotional, or a teaser, video that made people assume he died.
But, it was probably just an attention grabber.
However, I'm certain that there will be an event in the game that makes the [in-game] people assume or predict that he has perished.
I highly doubt that Shepard will actually die, though.. Doesn't seem likely, or to me...

I've enjoyed a lot of the RPGs on the x360.
Most didn't get great scores, but I don't care..
And, besides, the average score for a game below an 80 still isn't a bad game.
